ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Biggs Air Conditioning team arrived on site to check the commercial Gyms air conditioning which was warm throughout the club. Both stages of the condenser fans were burnt out and the BMS found both stages of the Carrier 06EA550 not working due to tripping out on oil pressure. In addition, all crankcase heaters burnt out, causing oil migration.
Work included resetting the unit, supply, and install a new motor, replacement of the equalising line and pump compressors down continuously to retrieve oil from the evaporator. The work enabled Biggs Air to return both condensers to full operation. Subsequently, the system is now running extremely well.
